Christmas Hawk

So you guys know that commercial about the Christmas Hawk. I guess it came to visit my family on Christmas Day instead of Santa. This morning I woke up and heard clattering in our porch. Then what do I find?! A friggin HAWK there. So I decided to take some pictures...

There ya go. I tried to get a closer shot of it, but it scampered to the corner under some stuff on the porch so I couldn't take one =/ . I shoulda taken video, but I was retarded and didn't think of it.  With that said and seen.

"Yet I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. Realize how far you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent."
- Revelation 2: 4-5

God has promised us that even if we drift away from Him. As long as we repent and realize the wrong we have been doing, He will welcome us again. It's so relieving to realize that God loves us that much that He would still accept us into His home if we come with humble hearts and repent. He is a forgiving and loving God that will not turn away from us. Otherwise, He will condemn us for not changing our ways.

This is another reminder to those of us who believe that we've found God and the relationship we currently we have with Him is good enough for us. The first time I fell in love with Him, I felt so driven to do His will and to spread His word to everyone I knew. But after a few weeks, that drive disappeared and I returned to my normal self...

Years later, I find myself falling in love with Him all over again. Except this time, I have realized the wrong I've been doing towards Him. For so long, I've been saying I loved Him, but continue to sin against Him without changing my ways. Now, it's different. I long for Him. I hunger for Him. I truly and honestly love Him. It feels so amazing and even more amazing when I know there are people who feel the same way about Him. I pray that I may continue to feel this way and never lose sight of Him.

Jesus said in reply, "Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?" Then he said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has saved you."
- Luke 17: 17-19

This just reminds us to continue to glorify, praise, and give thanks to God for all that He has given us. As difficult as it maybe for us to realize the goodness in our lives, it is there. There are so many moments in my life when I didn't give Him thanks when I should have because it was through His saving grace and love that the events in my life happened as they did.

Thank you Lord for being a part of my life and working through even when I didn't realize it at the time. You have always been there at my side and I didn't even take notice of You. All my life I have been aware of You, but never accepting of You because I thought my life was purposeless and meaningless. But now, You have shown me a different path, the path of faith and righteousness in which I try to spread Your love.

Thank you for the love that you have given me through my friends and family. Thank you for my family who continuously support and care for me even if I get annoyed with them. Thank you for my second family, the Sausages, who have always been there for me when I was in trouble or needed someone to talk to. Thank you for my new family, SE16, who show me that love is all around us and is abundant whereever we go.

There are so many things that I am thankful for in my life right now, Lord, and it is all because of You. Continue to bless me, my family, and my friends as we have to remind ourselves to continue giving You thanks and praise. Amen!

"Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him.” And the Apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
- Luke 17: 3-5

Right now is the time to be most aware of what others do to each other and to you. But it is also the most difficult thing to correct others and even more so to forgive them. And that is why we must ask for the Lord to increase our faith.

How many times have we observed someone sin before us and do nothing about it? Everyday, we come across someone who will sin right before your eyes and yet we say nothing. Instead we let it go, laugh about it, or completely ignore. As a follower of God, an example of His Word, we should no longer be bystanders by those who sin. Instead, let us make them realize what they are doing. Tell them that profanity bothers us, that they have hurt us, that what they are doing is wrong. Do not be afraid to tell them what you have observed because God will protect you from them.

Now how many times does someone come up to you and ask for forgiveness? Almost never. Rarely does anyone do that unless they have been blessed by the grace of God to understand that their actions were wrong. But when someone does come along and ask for forgiveness, how often are they forgiven? Just as rare. So what more if someone comes to you asking for forgiveness seven times in one day? How difficult would that be for you to forgive them knowing that they will just sin against you once again?

Now you understand what God has to go through with us.

Increase your faith, to be able to love each other. Because to love is to forgive. But it is God's love that will forgive for eternity. God bless you all! =D

"And he said to them, 'You justify yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts; for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God.' "
- Luke 16: 15

Despite what we say and what we do, it's all a matter of heart. When speaking to the Pharisees it's pretty obvious that they weren't the servants of God as they had claimed themselves to be because they did not follow God's commandments. Also, they abused their powers of higher authority.

In our world, everyone attempts to justify their actions and motives to do anything, especially when it comes to things not involving God. Whether it's drinking, smoking, partying, gambling, stealing, etc.. we all make up excuses on why we do it but that is our flaw. Humanity uses the excuse of the "real world" to allow themselves to be free of guilt. The human esteem, the pride of ourselves, hinders God's love for us. We are supposed to be converting the "real world" into the "true world." The world of truth and love in which everyone loves each other and is loved by everyone.

For years, I've been in the BLD community justifying my actions during my leadership position. "I don't need to go to BLD, they already know I'm with God," or "I don't need to do that, my faith is fine." But I was wrong, because my heart was not with God. I had been blindly serving Him, saying that I am with Him, doing things for Him, but not honestly and truthfully doing it for Him. I thought I was in love with God but I wasn't. I had been merely covering up my lack of faith with service to the community as an excuse not develop my relationship with Him. I was lacking that desire, that want, and that hunger for Him.

Now, it's different... I want Him to be in my life. I love Him for being in my life. I am thankful for Him. I am grateful for Him and all the blessings He's given me. Everything I do is for Him now instead of just doing it for the sake of it. This is the life we all strive to lead.

God help me and help them to continue to walk in Your faith and not be misguided. Let us want to serve You because our hearts want to. Give us strength and faith for each coming day because I know we will be challenged even more than we have before. Amen.
